about
Āio is about being at peace with the world... itʻs what everyone wants, its what we strive for, itʻs what nature needs and itʻs what humanity needs.
The concept of peace no longer a concept that the indigenous and the moon howlers practice... Itʻs deeply embedded in the neuroscience studies of today.
Call it what you will, mindfulness, meditation, financial stability... it all comes down to Peace - Āio.
We now know how important the connection with nature is. For te Ao Māori itʻs about respecting the elements - Papatūanuku (the land) Tangaroa (the water) and the mirroring of this within ourselves.
"They will live on when we are gone, ora tonu kua mate tātou."

ĀIO
V1
Kia tūpato i ō kupu nei - Take care with your words
Kia tūpato koe te haerenga ki mua - Take care on your journey
He taonga nui, he rawa, he rawa - These things are precious, most important
Ko Papatūānuku, ko Tangaroa - The earth entity, the water entity
They will live on, when weʻre gone - Āe, āe, ora, tonu, ka mate tātou
CH
Ka rongo ki te iwi (e karanga ana) - I hear humanity calling
Āio, Āio - To be at peace, be at peace
Ka rongo au ki te whenua (e karanga ana) - I hear the lands calling
Āio, Āio - To be at peace, be at peace
They will live on when weʻre gone - Āe, āe, ora, tonu, ka mate tātou
V2
Ehara tātou i te kaitiaki o te Ao - we are not the guardians of the earth
Koia kei ngā atua - this is, they are the entities
Ko ia te ora, ko ia te wai - they are the life, they are the water
Ko Papatūānuku, ko Tangaroa
They will live on, when weʻre gone - Āe, āe, ora, tonu, ka mate tātou - CH
